Bowls
Sealing jars and bowls are simple. Make sure the outside of the bowl is dry. Just stretch your wrap over the top, fold down the sides, press against the sides of the bowl, let the warmth of your hands help it seal and cling to the bowl. Take a bit longer if your bowl is cold or straight out of the fridge.

Snack Pouch

You can make a basic pouch by folding your wrap in half, turning over and crimping the two sides. Put in your snacks leaving enough space at the top to turn it down and seal your snack in. But you can have a lot of fun experimenting with all types of shapes - triangles, rolls and cones, watch this space for more ideas.

Dumpling Method
The dumpling method is called that because it is just like the way they do it in your favourite Chinese restaurant. It’s the best method for wrapping some cut fruit and vegetable halves such as tomatoes, citrus and in particular avocado. Simply place your fruit or vegetable on a small wrap with the cut side up. Turn up two opposite corners and crimp together down the middle. Next, fold up the ends and tuck them over.

Cheeses
Wraps are a great way to extend the serving life of your cheeses. Wrap your cheese carefully making sure that the wrap seals tightly around the cheese and there are no air pockets inside. Ensure your hands are washed clean and dry when you do this to prevent mould and bacterial contamination of the cheese.

Ferments
Your wax wraps make a great cover for your jars when making ferments such as sauerkraut, kefir, kombucha and other ferments.  By forming the wrap over the top of your jar you will let the ferment gases to escape while keeping out airborne bacteria and moulds. Similarly, you can stretch a large wrap over the top of a bowl to protect your bread and pizza doughs as they rise.

In the Freezer
You can store your biscuit, bread and pizza dough in wraps in the freezer. Just make sure you fold them in tightly to avoid any air pockets.

Handy Tip
Need a kitchen funnel and can’t find one? Simply grab a wrap and roll it at an angle to create an instant funnel!
